Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is currently seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for patients.

You will help meet the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient while adhering to all laws and Life Care standards, with duties including in-room visits, escorting patients, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs.
• Chart patient progress and behavior in the medical record.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make regular in-room visits to patients unable or uninterested in group activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward patients.
• Follow Life Care policies, ensure safety, and work with an interdisciplinary team.
