Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for patients, ensuring recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs are met in compliance with Life Care standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license; geriatrics experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Geriatrics experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to follow Life Care policies and Code of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and evaluating quality activity programs.
• Chart patient progress and behavior.
• Escort patients to activities.
• Make in-room visits to patients unable to participate.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and positive attitude.
• Assist in patient evacuation.
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak English.
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and activities.
