Job summary

Spring Gardens Assisted Living in Draper, UT is seeking an Activity Assistant to bring joy through engaging programs for our senior residents. This role requires creativity, energy, and heart for service, with a schedule of Tuesday–Saturday, 9am–5pm. You’ll plan, lead, and adapt activities, building relationships with residents and families to enrich daily life.

Qualifications

• Positive, energetic, and compassionate personality.
• Creativity and enthusiasm for planning engaging activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate participation from residents.
• Previous experience in senior living or recreation is a plus.
• May require evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with setup/teardown activities.
• Assisted living and dementia care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise, outings, and events.
• Engage residents in ways that promote dignity, purpose, and joy.
• Encourage participation and adapt activities to residents' interests and needs.
• Build relationships with residents and families, creating a welcoming environment.
• Help decorate and prepare the community for seasonal events and celebrations.
• Support documentation of resident participation and program evaluations.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director and care team to enhance residents' quality of life.
