Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning and directing quality activities for patients, meeting their recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs in line with Life Care standards.

The role requires high school graduation, reliability, and strong communication. It involves coordinating activities, escorting patients, charting progress, and working as part of an interdisciplinary team on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to chart patient progress and participate in activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs.
• Chart patient progress and behavior.
• Escort patients to and from activities.
• Make in-room visits to patients uninterested or unable to participate.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
