Fervo Energy, a NASDAQ: FRVO company, seeks an Energy Associate to scale powerplant engineering. You will partner with engineering teams to identify pain points, professionalize processes, improve decision quality, and support cross-department communication.

The role blends strategy, engineering, and product management with ownership from day one. Based in Houston with hybrid work options, you will report to the Engineering Manager and contribute to building our capability to deliver rapid,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in economics, finance, energy policy, or STEM.
• 2-4+ years of relevant professional experience in management consulting, energy development, power markets, project finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical rigor with comfort building and maintaining models, trackers, and processes.
• Comfort working with large datasets.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize technical material accurately.

Responsibilities

• Decision Quality: help make high quality data-driven decisions under ambiguity.
• Executive Communication: prepare clear, concise updates for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Financial Modeling: build and maintain financial models that support engineering design decisions.
• Strategy & Operations Support: coordinate with engineering leadership to establish frameworks and best practices.
• Process Improvement: identify knowledge gaps and develop tools, checklists, and references to improve design and execution processes.
