Job summary

Fervo Energy is seeking an Energy Associate to support the scale-up of our powerplant engineering team. You will partner with engineering groups to identify pain points, professionalize processes, and improve decision quality while communicating with executives across functions.

This role blends strategy, engineering, and product management with ownership from day one. It requires a bachelor’s degree and 2–4+ years in related fields, plus strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; economics, finance, energy policy, or STEM preferred.
• 2–4+ years in management consulting, energy development, power markets, project finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical rigor with comfort building and maintaining models, trackers, and processes.
• Comfort working with large datasets.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with ability to summarize technical material.

Responsibilities

• Decision Quality: help make high quality data-driven decisions under ambiguity.
• Executive Communication: prepare clear, concise updates for leadership and stakeholders.
• Financial Modeling: build and maintain financial models for engineering design decisions.
• Strategy & Operations Support: coordinate with engineering leadership to establish frameworks and best practices.
• Process Improvement: identify knowledge gaps and develop tools, checklists, references to improve design and execution processes.
