Job summary

The Springs Resort in Pagosa Springs, CO is seeking a Pool Engineer to maintain and improve geothermal and water-feature systems. This hands-on role supports guest experience and safety.

You will work with Pools and Engineering teams, perform preventive maintenance, document work, and ensure compliance. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required; experience with mechanical systems and pool operation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or trade training in mechanical systems preferred.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pool and water-feature systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, plumbing, circulation, filtration, heating, valves, and controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Monitor water chemistry, circulation, filtration, and temperature.
• Repair pumps, filters, heaters, valves, piping, chemical feeders, and controls.
• Inspect mechanical rooms and pool systems.
• Respond to leaks, equipment failures, and circulation issues.
• Support closures, reopenings, and emergency repairs.
• Document work orders and inspections in maintenance software.
• Maintain maintenance records.
• Assist with system upgrades and improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Pools Manager and teams.
• Handle chemicals, tools, and equipment safely.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and safety.
• Provide professional support around guests and public areas.
