Job summary

Fervo Energy is seeking an Operations Training Manager to build and lead the training function for field and facility operations. You will own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical, safety, and competency-based training programs across wellsite operators, technicians, and operations staff, scaling capacity for new geothermal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, HR, engineering, industrial tech, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in training, learning & development within complex industrial operations.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring a training team or building a training function.
• Experience supporting workforce ramp-up for capital projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve a structured curriculum for field operations roles.
• Translate SOPs, engineering specs, and lessons learned into training content and job aids.
• Establish learning objectives tied to safety, operations, and development goals.
• Deliver hands-on, classroom, and e-learning training for field and plant personnel.
• Coordinate emergency drills with HSE and ensure regulatory training compliance.
• Maintain LMS records, certifications, and audit-ready documentation.
• Administer training budgets and manage third-party vendors.
