Job summary

Fervo Energy in Houston seeks an Operations Training Manager to design, deliver, and scale training for field and facility operations. You will own the training matrix, SOPs, and qualification tracking, and lead a small team of training coordinators with cross-functional partners in Operations, HSE, and Engineering.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance (OSHA/DOT), and continuous improvement of competency-based programs across geothermal facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 7+ years in training, L&D, or workforce development in complex industrial ops.
• 2+ years leading or mentoring a training team or building a training function.
• Experience supporting workforce ramp-up for capital projects or startup.

Responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve a structured curriculum for field operations roles.
• Translate SOPs, specs, and lessons learned into training content and job aids.
• Deliver hands-on, classroom, and e-learning training for operations personnel.
• Ensure training reflects mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
• Coordinate emergency drills with HSE and maintain audit-ready records.
• Own training and competency programs to meet OSHA, DOT and permits.
• Stand up site-specific training infrastructure at new locations.
• Lead a team of training coordinators and report to Operations leadership.
• Administer LMS, manage vendors, and own the training budget.
