Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in a related engineering field and 2+ years of field drilling experience, with strong problem solving and communication skills. Willingness to work remotely in field locations on a rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geothermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of field drilling experience, preferably geothermal, oil & gas, or deep foundation projects.
• Proficient in drilling software, data acquisition systems, and Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide field engineering support during all phases of geothermal drilling projects.
• Monitor drilling parameters, wellbore conditions, and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with the Drilling Superintendent and contractors to implement drilling plans and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Prepare daily reports of drilling activities, equipment usage, and progress against plan.
• Assist with well design, casing and cementing programs, mud programs, and testing procedures.
• Evaluate drilling data to optimize performance and reduce non-productive time.
• Troubleshoot issues such as stuck pipe, lost circulation, or downhole equipment failures.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for tools and support services.
• Support cost tracking and verify contractor invoices against field records.
• Assist with post-drilling reviews, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
