Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Superintendent to lead self-perform geotechnical crews on heavy civil projects in the Tampa Bay area. This senior role requires 10+ years in drilled shafts, pile work and soil nail systems, with strong leadership and travel willingness.

You will oversee drill rigs, grout plants and shotcrete pumps, coordinating with subs and self-perform work. Competitive base with bonus potential and a robust benefits package awaits the right candidate

Qualifications

• 10+ years of geotechnical construction experience including drilled shafts, CFA piles, wick drains, soil/rock nails.
• Ability to manage crews, costs and field schedules.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Run daily field operations on geotechnical and deep foundation projects.
• Lead drilled shaft, auger cast pile and earth retention crews.
• Maintain safety as a top priority with safety dept and PM.
• Plan means and methods for geotechnical activities with project team.
• Manage drill rigs, grout plants and shotcrete pumps; oversee maintenance.
• Update project schedules and track field productivity.
• Control labor costs and keep work on budget.
• Coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and self-perform work.
• Run quality control and field documentation.
• Communicate job status in start and close meetings.
