SCI Engineering, Inc. in St. Charles, Missouri is seeking a Staff Geologist to join our Geotechnical Services group.

You will conduct geological field investigations, data collection, and coordinate subcontracts for projects involving soils, karst features, and construction materials testing. The position requires a Bachelor's in Geology, strong written and verbal communication, a valid US driver's license, and willingness to travel up to 40% with opportunities for professional development and

Qualifications

• Strong oral and technical writing skills are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Geology is required.
• Advanced degree in Geology is preferred.
• Holds professional licensure or ability to obtain licensure (P.G.) within four years is required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License for business travel is required.
• Geotechnical laboratory testing experience is preferred.
• Experience with GIS data collection tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Project planning and coordination including subcontractor procurement, sampling and health and safety plan development.
• Project management support with client and regulatory interfacing.
• Conduct geological field investigations and data collection.
• Monitoring and oversight of construction projects including deep foundations and retaining wall construction.
• Field data collection using GIS tools and documenting results.
