Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a staff geotechnical engineer to gain exposure across geotechnical investigations, materials testing programs, and forensic assignments, with report writing under supervision of licensed professional engineers.

You will plan drilling, reduce lab data, draft geotechnical reports, and coordinate field crews while progressing toward PE licensure with mentoring and exam support.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certificate or exam scheduled.
• Field-willing: work on active field projects and site conditions.
• Clear technical writing skills required.
• Interest in geotechnical, materials, or forensic practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs.
• Reduce and review laboratory data.
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports.
• Support forensic investigations, coring, and distress evaluations.
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on projects.
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.

Education
