Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a staff engineer to gain exposure to geotechnical investigations, materials testing programs, and forensic assignments, with mentorship from licensed professional engineers. You will work on projects from building pads to heavy industrial programs, combining fieldwork with rigorous reporting.

In this role you will plan drilling, reduce data, and draft geotechnical reports while progressing toward PE licensure.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related degree.
• EIT certification or exam date scheduled.
• Field-willing: real projects, weather, and conditions.
• Clear technical writing abilities.
• Interest in geotechnical, materials, or forensic practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs.
• Reduce and review laboratory data.
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports.
• Support forensic investigations, coring programs, and distress evaluations.
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on assigned projects.
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.
