Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Staff Engineer to contribute to geotechnical investigations, materials testing programs, and forensic assignments under licensed professional engineers. The role includes report writing, field drilling, and laboratory data review, with mentorship toward PE licensure.

You will rotate through geotechnical, materials, and forensic programs, gaining broad experience while documenting findings and supporting site investigations across diverse projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certificate or exam scheduled.
• Field-willing: willing to work on real projects, real dirt, real weather.
• Clear technical writing.
• Interest in geotechnical, materials, or forensic practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs.
• Reduce and review laboratory data.
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports.
• Support forensic investigations, coring programs, and distress evaluations.
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on assigned projects.
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.
