Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Staff Engineer to gain exposure to geotechnical investigations, materials testing programs, forensic assignments, and report writing under the supervision of licensed professional engineers.

You will rotate through geotechnical, materials, and forensic work, learn to log borings, reduce data, and draft technical reports while progressing toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support. A valid driver's license and field capability are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certificate or exam scheduled.
• Field-willing: able to work on real projects and weather conditions.
• Clear technical writing skills.
• Interest in geotechnical, materials testing, or forensic practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs.
• Reduce and review laboratory data.
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports.
• Support forensic investigations, coring programs, and distress evaluations.
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on assigned projects.
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.
