Job summary

Call & Nicholas, a Tucson-based geotechnical engineering firm, is seeking an entry-level geological engineer to join our consulting group. You will assist in data collection, analysis, and report writing while supporting field and client activities in a safety-first environment.

You will work with tools like MinePlan3d, Vulcan, AutoCAD, and RocScience, and gain experience across surface and underground analyses, with travel up to 60 days as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in geological/geotechnical/mining engineering.
• 0-4 years’ experience.
• Domestic and international travel required.
• Coding/programming experience is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist in editing and creating tools or programs for geotechnical data collection and analysis.
• Provide data collection support (rock fabric mapping, drone mapping, oriented core logging, geomechanical logging).
• Process field data and perform analyses (surface, underground).
• Write technical reports and memos and support client relationships.
• Support safety and quality standards on all projects.
• Assist senior staff on large projects when needed.
