Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years geotechnical engineering experience preferred; experience with a geotechnical consulting firm preferred.
• Understanding of soil mechanics and subsurface investigation methods.
• Experience with field exploration, soil classification, geotechnical analyses, and report preparation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations and analyses for various projects.
• Plan and coordinate subsurface exploration programs and boring layouts.
• Oversee drilling operations and provide field direction to crews.
• Classify soils and prepare logs of borings, test pits, and cores.
• Perform field observations, testing, and construction support.
• Review plans, specs, and geotechnical data.
• Coordinate laboratory testing programs and evaluate results.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, memos, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel.
