Terracon is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to deliver geotechnical engineering and consulting services across projects in the Columbus, GA area. The role includes leading field investigations, performing analyses, developing plans, and preparing client reports for diverse sectors.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 1–3 years of experience, and an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 1–3 years of engineering experience.
• Master's degree in engineering preferred.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) required.

Responsabilités

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Demonstrate quality practices and acumen on projects.
• Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
• Proficient geotechnical engineer capable of managing small projects.
• Assist in developing the scope of work for routine projects.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates, specifications, and related documents.
• Analyze data and perform engineering calculations for PE review.
• Coordinate/ supervise field investigations and lab testing.
• Develop plans and schedules and coordinate project work.
• Work with senior engineers to gain project management experience.
• Make design recommendations for review by the PE of Record.
• Prepare work scopes, proposals and reports for approvals.
• May supervise field staff and interact with clients on scope and progress.

Formation

Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Master's degree in Engineering preferred
