Job summary

Terracon is seeking a mid-level geotechnical engineer to provide field investigations, analyses, and report writing for diverse projects in Georgia. You will lead small to medium projects, supervise field staff, develop scopes of work, and coordinate laboratory testing and data evaluation under the guidance of senior engineers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 3–5 years’ experience, EIT or EI with PE pursuit, and a valid driver’s license; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering is expected.
• EIT or EI with ability to obtain PE is required; PE preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
• Integrate quality leadership practices into daily regimen.
• Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
• Manage and execute small to medium projects; supervise field staff and teams.
• Develop the scope of work for routine projects and coordinate field investigations.
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and other project documents.
• Analyze data, perform engineering calculations, and evaluate laboratory results.
• Work with senior project managers to gain experience and communicate progress.
