Wagman, Inc. in York, PA is seeking a Geotechnical Skilled Laborer to join our regional operations. This outdoor, safety-sensitive role requires hands-on work in earthwork, drilling, welding and concrete tasks across PA, DE and MD with travel commitments as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of construction experience (heavy civil or geotechnical) and welding experience. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Carry, load, or unload materials.

• Arrive to project site on-time and participate in safety meetings.
• Lift and place lagging boards onto shoring walls.
• Operate and maintain construction equipment (grout machines, drilling machines, compressors).
• Assist with shotcrete operations and welding on sites.

Description

Position: Geotechnical Skilled Laborer

Travel: regional, PA, MD and DE

Pay: $20.00/hr- $28.00/hr (Based on experience)

We are currently looking for Skilled Laborers/Welders to join our Geotechnical Group across PA and other locations throughout the Mid Atlantic. Work is performed outdoors year round. Employees will be exposed to wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather conditions. Experience in earth work, drilling, concrete, welding and small tool operation is preferred. Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Construction experience with shotcrete and caisson, tiebacks, welding experience/knowledge, and/or concrete experience a huge plus.

This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction.

This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.

Qualifications:

• Reliable transportation and Valid Drivers License is required
• Construction experience is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assist with shotcrete operations
• Structural welding on construction sites
• Responsible for safety of self and others. Required to wear proper jobsite PPE as directed

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and 30 pounds to above shoulder level throughout work shift
• Continuous standing and walking required throughout a scheduled work shift
• Must be able to climb ladders
• Must be able to work at heights up to 150 feet
• Must be able to bend, squat, kneel and crawl
• Must be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands
• Must have the ability to reach, lift and perform work above shoulder height - and the ability to work on uneven surfaces and in confined spaces
• Required to have acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearing
• Must be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot and humid weather
