Job summary

MFS Engineers & Surveyors in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Geotechnical Senior Staff Engineer to assist with project management, prepare geotechnical reports, perform calculations, and conduct special inspections for soils, rocks, foundations, and retaining structures. This role is based in our South Plainfield, NJ office.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering with EIT pursuing a PE, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD, gINT, and deep geotechnical

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical field investigations and reports.
• Strong communication and coordination with teams.
• Proficiency in design software and geotechnical tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project management and coordination.
• Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and calculations.
• Perform inspections for borings, pits, and foundations.
• Coordinate with subs and QA/QC of design work.
• Develop site inspection reports and technical memos.
