Job summary

HDR seeks a Geotechnical Section Leader to guide regional practice and advance technical excellence in deep foundations, slope stability, earthwork evaluation, and foundation design. You will lead risk management and establish standards across linear and vertical projects.

You will mentor staff, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage clients to deliver repeatable, scalable geotechnical solutions for critical infrastructure and data centers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required for senior role in geotechnical engineering.
• 10+ years of geotechnical experience and leadership in multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong client engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical design, analysis, and risk reduction for transportation corridors, utilities, water systems and buildings.
• Provide senior technical review of reports, deep foundation recommendations, slope analyses and seismic assessments.
• Build and lead a Geotechnical Center of Excellence for data centers with scalable solutions.
• Lead and mentor geotechnical staff; develop standards, workflows and collaboration with BES leadership.
