ECS Group of Companies seeks a Geotechnical Staff Project Manager I to support geotechnical engineering and CMT projects through analysis, reporting, and project coordination. The role is primarily office-based with some field exposure for training and involves budgeting and documentation to ensure project success.

You will develop technical and project management skills while upholding ECS Core Values and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
  • Pro license not required to start but needed for career progression.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work with teams, clients, and supervisors.
  • Developing project management and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supports geotechnical reports preparation with analysis and recommendations.
  • Manages CMT tasks including daily report review and issue tracking.
  • Assists with project budgeting and invoicing.
  • Supports proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects.
  • Performs boring and test pit layout and site access evaluation.
  • Prepares drilling packages and obtains utility clearances.
  • Conducts research on local geologic conditions.
  • Supervises field investigations and drilling activities.
  • Performs in-situ testing and soil classification.
  • Reviews field reports and documents project data.
  • Communicates with project teams, contractors, and field personnel.
