Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a Geotechnical Staff Project Manager I to support geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects through analysis, reporting, and project coordination. The role is primarily office-based with some field exposure for training and involves assisting with project execution, budgeting, and documentation.

The position develops technical and project management skills while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and upholding ECS

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology is required
• A professional license is not required but helpful for career progression
• If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
• Basic knowledge of geotechnical principles and CMT applications
• Developing project management and client communication skills
• Basic familiarity with geotechnical software (developing)

Responsibilities

• Supports geotechnical reports preparation, including analysis and recommendations
• Manages CMT tasks, including daily report review and issue tracking
• Assists with project budgeting and invoice preparation
• Supports preparation of proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects
• Performs boring and test pit layout and site access evaluation
• Prepares drilling packages and obtains utility clearances
• Reviews field reports and supports data documentation
• Communicates with project teams, contractors, and field personnel
• Assists supervision of field investigations and drilling activities
• Performs in-situ testing and soil classification
