Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager I to lead geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects, from proposal through completion on lower-complexity assignments. You will coordinate scheduling, budgeting, reporting and client communication while upholding ECS Core Values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil/geological engineering or geology.
• 2+ years of related geotechnical experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required if driving for ECS.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Familiarity with geotechnical software and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations.
• Manages geotechnical and CMT projects from scheduling to delivery.
• Reviews field reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Manages project budgets, change orders, invoices, and collections.
• Prepares geotechnical and CMT proposals.
• Begins taking ownership of projects from proposal through completion.
• Supervises field activities, including drilling and testing operations.
• Interfaces with clients and participates in project discussions.
• Mentors and supports junior staff and field personnel.
