Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks a Project Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to join its team in San Francisco or San Jose. You will provide geotechnical expertise, manage projects, supervise staff engineers, and interface with clients, collaborating on both small-scale and large-scale geotechnical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Master's degree with Geotechnical emphasis.
• Professional Engineer licensure.
• 6+ years of related Geotechnical experience.
• 3+ years of field experience with geotechnical investigations and construction observation.
• Proven experience in preparing technical reports, specs, construction plans, and geotechnical recommendations; leading projects and mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses, design pile elements and underpinning systems, and conduct inspections.
• Prepare technical documents and manage proposals, reports, and construction-related correspondence.
• Supervise field investigations and earthwork and foundation construction activities.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules; prepare progress reports and invoices.
• Perform other duties as requested.
