Job summary
CTL Engineering, Inc. seeks a Professional Geologist to join its Geotech Team in Shelbyville, KY, performing geotechnical explorations and report writing. You will classify rock cores, design rock cuts, and collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and developers to deliver customized studies for infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities include fieldwork, geophysical interpretation, and project budgeting, with 20–30% travel. A PG license is required; PE is a plus.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in consulting geotech projects, preferably KYTC/transportation.
- PG licensure required; PE a strong plus.
- Valid driver's license with ability to travel for fieldwork.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret geotechnical data; classify rock cores and design rock cuts.
- Coordinate explorations and prepare technical reports.
- Conduct field surveys and interpret geophysical data.
- Manage project timelines and budgets; ensure quality and safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on design and construction.
- Possibly support environmental assessments as needed.
