Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is hiring a Geotechnical Project Manager to support GDOT transportation programs across the Atlanta metro area. The role emphasizes technical review, design coordination, and the delivery of geotechnical work products for roadway and bridge projects.

You will turn subsurface data into clear recommendations, coordinate deliverables across teams, and keep schedules moving on active infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of geotechnical engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
• FE exam passed or EIT near-term (≤6 months).
• Experience reviewing geotechnical reports, analyses, and engineering recommendations.
• Ability to manage project priorities with limited supervision, including schedule and budget awareness.

Responsibilities

• Review and QA/QC geotechnical reports for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with design teams and subcontractors, including procurement & oversight of schedules.
• Manage project execution from kickoff through closeout, including scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Lead technical coordination with clients, design teams, and construction teams to resolve geotechnical questions and provide timely solutions.
• Support development of geotechnical scopes of work, fee estimates, proposals, and invoicing.
