Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Wilmington, NC is seeking a staff geotechnical professional to advance geotechnical reporting, CMT project oversight, and field staff training.

The role requires a BS and/or MS in Civil/Geological Eng or Geology with at least two years of related experience; PE or PG is preferred and a current professional license in applicable states. A valid driver’s license is required for site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
• 2 years of related experience
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) preferred
• A professional license is required in each state in which you work to use the title.

Responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations.
• Manage CMT projects with daily report review and issue resolution.
• Prepare proposals, manage budgets, and prepare change orders and invoices.
• Host or attend project meetings with clients to provide technical solutions as necessary.
• Supervise field work and assist with rig access issues.
• Classify soil and assign laboratory testing.
• Mentor and support staff project managers, assistant staff project managers, and technicians.
