Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) in Worthington, OH, seeks a Geotechnical Project Manager I to lead geotechnical engineering and CMT projects from proposal through delivery on lower-complexity assignments. You will prepare reports, manage budgets, supervise field activities, review lab data, and support business development while upholding ECS Core Values.

A PE/PG is preferred, with 2 years of related experience and a civil/geology background.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
• A professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) is preferred.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Good project management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of geotechnical principles and ASTM standards.
• Ability to interpret field and laboratory results.
• Ability to manage priorities, schedules, and deadlines.
• Developing client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Prepares geotechnical reports with technical analysis and recommendations.
• Manages geotechnical and CMT projects, including scheduling and delivery.
• Reviews field reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Manages budgets, change orders, invoices, and collections.
• Prepares geotechnical and CMT proposals.
• Supervises field activities, including drilling and testing operations.
• Interprets drilling results and supports technical decisions.
• Interfacing with clients and participating in project discussions.
