Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) seeks a seasoned Project Engineer to lead geotechnical, environmental, and civil projects across the Southeast. The role emphasizes on-site execution, team leadership, and delivering technically sound solutions for municipal, industrial, and commercial clients.

You will supervise project teams, coordinate with clients, ensure quality standards, and drive project schedules from conception through completion.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
Licensed PE in SC or the ability to obtain reciprocity where the firm operates.
Minimum 5–12 years of geotechnical engineering and/or materials testing with 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.
Knowledge of geosynthetics.

Responsibilities

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, designers and field staff.
Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling and field data collection.
Serve as primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and communicating project updates.
Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure deliverables meet standards and client expectations.
Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules, monitor progress, and forecast resource needs.
Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure integrated delivery.
Assist in proposals, scopes of work, and contract documents; manage subcontractors and vendors.
Identify opportunities for new business and contribute to proposals and presentations.
Monitor project financial performance and prepare status reports; conduct post-project reviews.
