Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Engineer to be based from Panama City Beach or Pensacola, FL. You will lead geotechnical projects, oversee testing, and review technical reports while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients on scopes, budgets, and schedules.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years geotechnical experience, an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, and an EIT; a PE is preferred or obtainable within a year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution or equivalent with NCEES evaluation.
• EIT certification is required.
• 5–10 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• PE license is preferred or obtainable within 1 year.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct and oversee special inspections and construction materials testing projects.
• Review and approve technical reports for geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop scopes, budgets and schedules.
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state and federal regulations.
• Participate in business development, including proposals and client presentations.
