Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to be based from Panama City Beach or Pensacola, FL. The role involves leading geotechnical projects, coordinating inspections, and preparing technical reports for diverse projects including commercial, industrial, and government facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, an active EIT, 5–10 years in geotechnical engineering, and a PE license or readiness

Qualifications

• EIT is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, or an equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct and oversee special inspections and construction materials testing projects.
• Review and approve technical reports for geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
