Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to be based in Panama City Beach or Pensacola, FL. You will lead geotechnical projects, supervise inspections, and review technical reports to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role includes mentoring junior staff, coordinating scopes and budgets with project managers, and contributing to business development through client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution or equivalent with NCEES evaluation.
• EIT required.
• 5–10 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

NOVA Engineering is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Engineer to be based from EITHER our Panama City Beach or Pensacola, FL locations.

NOVA works on a diverse range of projects including commercial, industrial, retail, government, office, transportation, and residential developments. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct and oversee special inspections and construction materials testing projects.
• Review and approve technical reports for both geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects, ensuring they meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
