Job summary

Kleinfelder's Southern California Area is seeking Project Geotechnical Engineers / Engineering Geologists to join the team, with positions based in Laguna Hills or Los Angeles offices. Ideal candidates will perform field and office scopes, conduct explorations, and develop designs and reports for a range of infrastructure projects.

6–10 years of related experience or 4 years with a Master’s or 2 years with a PhD are preferred.

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of related experience or 4 years with a Master's or 2 years with PhD.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License or Professional Geologist (PG) License.
• Must have a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks.
• Ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred.
• Willingness to travel and perform field work, even under inclement weather and physically demanding conditions.
• Position will require the candidate to adhere to work assignments/schedules, be self-motivated, organized and have a keen sense of detail.
• Candidate must be willing to work in addition to a standard 40-hour work week when needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks (technical and non-technical) and independent analysis.
• Safely conduct field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support under supervision.
• Coordinate tasks and small projects with guidance and interaction by senior operations/technical staff.
• Prepare designs, reports and calculations on complex projects for review.
