Job summary

Kleinfelder, a leading geotechnical engineering firm, seeks Project Geotechnical Engineers/Engineering Geologists for the Southern California area, based in Laguna Hills or Los Angeles. The role involves field and office work, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and travel as needed.

Ideal candidates hold PE or PG licenses and have 6–10 years of experience (Masters/PhD options). Excellent communication, reporting, and technical skills are required, with a strong safety mindset and willingness to

Qualifications

6–10 years of related experience or 4 years with a Masters or 2 years with a PhD.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license.
Ability to work independently or with a multi-disciplinary team.
Willingness to travel and perform field work, and to work beyond 40 hours when needed.

Responsibilities

Perform and develop scopes for field and office tasks and independent analysis.
Safely conduct field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support under supervision.
Coordinate tasks and small projects with guidance from senior staff.
Prepare designs, reports and calculations for complex projects for review.
