Job summary

Helical Drilling is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer/PM for a remote role, preferably based in the New England area. You will manage full-cycle geotechnical projects from feasibility review through final submittals, including preliminary design, estimating, bid preparation, construction support and closeout.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in specialty foundation or geotechnical construction and consultancy.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering required; Master’s Degree and PE license preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to multi-task and work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle geotechnical project tasks from feasibility through closeout.
• Prepare written reports and submittals presented to clients.
• Coordinate with design engineers to deliver timely technical solutions.
• Work independently or with minimal supervision on multiple projects.

Geotechnical Engineer/PM -REMOTE - Prefer you live in or around the New England area

The position includes tasks associated with full cycle Geotechnical Project Management, initial review of project feasibility, preliminary design ,estimating, bid preparation, closing of the job, final design and submittal preparation, management through construction, final quality control documentation and project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision in performing all phases of design/analysis (currently or after training).
• Ability to multi-task by working on several projects in various stages of development.
• Assist in writing and preparing written reports and submittals that are presented to the client.
• Coordinate with Design Engineers to provide time-sensitive technical solutions to ongoing construction projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
• When appropriate perform Internal Submittal Review, assist field staff
• Must have ability to interact and communicate with various owners, developers, general contractors, engineers, etc., to fully understand project needs and provide technical solutions.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in specialty foundation or geotechnical construction and consultancy.
• Demonstrated success bidding, designing, and delivering projects involving:
  • Support of Excavation
  • Micro-piles
  • Grouting

Additional Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in related field
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering required. Master’s Degree and professional PE license
• Excellent oral and written Communication skills with the ability to multi-task
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Must be legally able to work in the US, speak, read and write English
