Job summary

Our client in New York City is seeking an experienced Senior Geostructural Project Manager to lead a variety of regional projects, focusing on excavation support systems, temporary shoring, and foundation design.

You will manage projects, interact directly with clients, and contribute both independently and as part of a team, performing design analysis, preparing calculations, drawings, and technical reports while guiding site observations.

Qualifications

• Requires Civil Engineering degree with focus on structural engineering.
• Active NY PE license required.
• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with geotechnical and structural design on construction projects.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing projects, working directly with clients, and contributing both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical and structural analysis and design for a variety of projects
• Prepare complete design packages including calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Develop technical reports, letters, and project documentation
• Attend project meetings and communicate directly with clients
• Support proposal efforts and business development initiatives
• Conduct site visits to observe construction activities involving foundations, support of excavation, tiebacks, bracing, grouting, and other specialty geotechnical systems
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout project lifecycles

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering preferred
• 12+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Active New York Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Strong background in geotechnical and structural engineering principles
• Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, RISA, or similar programs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on active construction sites and perform field observations as needed
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required
• Ability to travel occasionally for project assignments
