Geotechnical Principal Engineer

Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Georgia seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide technical leadership within the branch and region.

The candidate will mentor Associate Principals, participate in candidate reviews for Associate Principal designation, oversee projects, review reports, prepare proposals, and help manage department and P&L while developing clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or a similar field.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Designation as a senior reviewer at your current or previous firm.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license required in each state in which you work.
• If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise and support Geotechnical staff both within a branch and within a region.
• Host or attend project meetings with clients and/or ECS staff to help provide technical solutions as requested.
• Mentor Associate Principals.
• Participate in the review committee for candidates who seek Associate Principal designation (Geotechnical).

• Assist with management of the department and P&L.
• Conduct business development and assist other staff in marketing services by maintaining and developing client interactions.
• Assist hiring managers to help make staffing decisions.
• Lead and coach junior staff members.
• Due to low barriers between departments, duties may also include performing the tasks above in CMT.
