Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Geotechnical Department Manager to lead our geotechnical engineering team. You will oversee projects and staff, manage quality control, and support business development to drive department success.

Qualified candidates have 10+ years in civil/geotechnical engineering, strong leadership, and the ability to manage budgets and P&L. ABET-accredited BS required; MS preferred; PE/PG licensure preferred or obtainable within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Geological Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of civil/geotechnical engineering experience.
• Leadership, budgeting/forecasting, and staff development experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of geotechnical projects.
• Lead geotechnical engineers, geologists, PMs, and technicians.
• Ensure adherence to geotechnical best practices, safety, and QC.
