Responsibilities include operating testing equipment, data reporting, documenting results, and maintaining safety practices. A B.S. in Geology or Civil Engineering and ability to work overtime are required; a valid driver’s license is also necessary.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Geology or Civil Engineering required.
• Must have Basic Math, Calculator and Computer Skills.
• Ability to read and understand work plans.
• Must be able to work off shifts and overtime.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory testing under direct supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.
• Operate testing equipment and conduct laboratory testing (concrete strength, grain size, proctor, Atterberg Limits) and report data.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and field equipment.
• Observe site activities and perform tasks with specific methods.
• Make detailed observations and provide limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation from test results.
• Operate a calculator to calculate mathematical test results.
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams.
• Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure safety at work.
