The position involves performing concrete strength tests, grain size analysis, Proctor and Atterberg limits, calibrating equipment, maintaining records, and communicating with project teams. A B.S. in Geology or Civil Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a B.S. in Geology or Civil Engineering.
• Basic Math, Calculator and Computer Skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Must be able to read and understand work plans.
• Must be able to work off shifts and overtime.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory testing under supervision and per controlled procedures.
• Operate testing equipment and conduct tests (e.g., concrete compressive strength, grain size analysis, proctor, Atterberg Limits).
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory and field equipment.
• Observe site activities and perform tasks using specified methods.
• Make detailed observations and provide data interpretations.
• Maintain detailed documentation and test result data.
• Operate a calculator to compute test results.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
• Adhere to safety practices to protect yourself and others.
