Job summary

System One in West Valley City and Ogden, Utah is seeking a Geotechnical Lab Technician to join our team. This full-time role involves performing laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, and construction materials in a lab and field setting, following ASTM/AASHTO standards, and documenting results accurately.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of relevant experience, solid attention to detail, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of geotechnical/construction materials testing experience.
• Familiar with soil and aggregate testing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document results.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Follow ASTM and AASHTO standards and document results accurately.
• Collect, label, and process material samples.
• Maintain testing equipment and a clean laboratory.
• Assist with field testing and inspections as needed.
• Communicate test results with project managers and field personnel.
• Adhere to safety and quality-control procedures.
