Job summary

CMT Technical Services is seeking a Construction Testing Technician in West Valley City, UT. This full-time role involves hands-on testing of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, and concrete, in a busy laboratory environment.

You will perform moisture, sieve, Atterberg limits, Proctor, consolidation, direct shear, and compressive strength tests, recording data for the Laboratory Manager. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and the ability to

Responsibilities

• Receive and test construction materials such as soils, aggregates, and concrete.
• Perform laboratory testing including: Moisture Content, Sieve Analysis, Atterberg Limits, Proctor Compaction, Consolidation, Direct Shear, and Compressive Strength.
• Record accurate data and report findings to the Laboratory Manager.
• Maintain lab equipment and workspace according to safety and quality standards.

We are seeking a Construction Testing Technician to join our laboratory team in West Valley City, UT. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals interested in a hands-on role testing construction materials and supporting infrastructure development. Compensation: $18-20/hour (depending on experience)
Location: Ogden, UT
FLSA Exemption: Non-Exempt
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (schedule may vary)

What you'll be doing:

• Receive and test construction materials such as soils, aggregates, and concrete

• Perform laboratory testing including:

  • Moisture Content

  • Sieve Analysis

  • Atterberg Limits

  • Proctor Compaction

  • Consolidation

  • Direct Shear

  • Compressive Strength

• Record accurate data and report findings to the Laboratory Manager

• Maintain lab equipment and workspace according to safety and quality standards

What you have:

• 1 year of experience in a similar lab or materials testing role

• ACI or WAQTC certifications

• WAQTC – Soils, Aggregate, or Asphalt
