Job summary

Professional Service Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) in El Paso, Texas, is hiring a Soils/Aggregate Lab Technician I to join our Building & Construction team. No prior geotechnical lab experience is required as full training is provided.

The role involves performing geotechnical laboratory testing, documenting results, and supporting project teams. You will work with various soil tests and calculations while adhering to safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior geotechnical laboratory experience needed; training provided.
• Ability to read and understand work plans, specifications, and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical laboratory tests under supervision and established procedures.
• Conduct tests such as Atterberg Limits, Sieve Analysis, UCS, CBR, Swell, and other soil tests.
• Operate laboratory equipment and maintain testing instruments per procedures.
• Document test data, observations, and results accurately.
• Review drawings and project documents to support testing activities.
• Prepare reports using standard laboratory methods and software tools.
