MnDOT’s Materials Lab in Maplewood on-site position provides geotechnical expertise within the Engineering Services Division, supporting statewide transportation projects. You will evaluate rock and aggregate materials, perform advanced tests, and prepare reports aligned with current specifications while ensuring AMRL accreditation compliance.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional geotechnical experience in the areas noted below.
• Experience with lab materials testing methods, procedures, quality control, and quality assurance.
• Valid Class D driver’s license.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Hydrology, or Geological Engineering may substitute for one year of experience.
