Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Intern in St. Louis, MO, to work with a multidisciplinary team on foundation systems and slopes for transportation infrastructure.

You will apply theoretical knowledge to practical design under senior staff supervision. You’ll gain experience in subsurface investigations, laboratory testing programs, and project deliverables while developing professional communications and technical skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
• At least a 3.0 GPA
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical design and analysis of foundations, retaining structures and slopes
• Inspect geotechnical exploration activities and oversee subsurface investigations
• Assist in laboratory testing programs and project-related data handling
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver design solutions for transportation projects
