Job summary

Dynamic Engineering Consultants, PC is seeking a Geotechnical Intern to support our geotechnical group across multiple project sites. The role involves field testing, lab work, and reporting to help ensure quality and compliance.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, with 0-2 years in geotechnical work and an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) track preferred. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field, with relevance to Geotechnical Engineering.
• 0-2 years’ Geotechnical engineering experience on residential/commercial sites.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or EIT-track preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle; mileage reimbursed for company travel.
• Ability to operate personal and/or company vehicle.
• Construction materials laboratory coursework completed preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct construction site testing, inspection and sampling.
• Perform concrete placement tests and related sampling.
• Perform soil compaction testing and fill placement monitoring.
• Conduct laboratory soils testing for permeability and compaction characteristics.
• Witness and document soil borings and test pit investigations.
• Prepare inspection and laboratory data reports.
• Deliver samples and testing equipment between sites, office, and laboratory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
