Job summary

Dynamic Engineering Consultants, PC is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to perform subsurface investigations, analyses, and evaluations for site development and foundation projects. The role includes field explorations, data collection, and coordination of lab testing.

The position involves outdoor field work with occasional office duties, requiring collaboration with project teams and clients. EIT preferred; valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Soil Science, Geology or related field; geotechnical concentration preferred.
• EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain EIT.
• 0-3 years’ experience in geotechnical consulting, construction material inspections, or lab testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform field exploration programs for a wide range of project types.
• Communicate field instructions to drilling subcontractors per geotechnical scope.
• Oversee engineering services during construction for foundations and earthwork.
• Prepare and review field boring/test pit logs and groundwater data.
• Analyze subsurface conditions and develop design recommendations.
• Coordinate laboratory testing programs based on field results.
• Prepare construction phase inspection data reports and geotechnical analyses.
• Prepare initial geotechnical reports using field and lab data.
